But things have changed in the years she has been away, and new forces are at work. Her crystals are uneasy, and the glimpses they show her of the future are disjointed and fluctuating. An ancient evil stirs under a pile of stones. The stream of time will be altered. She looks down at the world spinning beneath her, and then at her friends, wondering if any of them will survive.

Crystal Legacy is the third book in the Legend of the Crystals series, the three books forming a complete legend which includes prophecies, gods, relics, super beings, and sharp sword conflict.
Picking up immediately after Larissya and her companions return from Erdii III along with her friends both old and new to a changed Agorai to face ancient enemies and uncover truths about their origins which had been lost to the ages. The revelations are as fast paced and dangerous as the action.
I found the pace of the story quite addictive.
Kindle Feature Spotlight
This series contains complete worlds filled with wonderful plants, animals, and races of people all described in rich detail which really augments the sheer escapism of the experience. I have enjoyed this series of books very much, having read all three in order something I would strongly urge just to appreciate the coherent plot lines and twists. Book two of the Legend of the Crystals series left my mind totally blown and eagerly awaiting the third book - this book. I thought it would be pretty hard to top what I had read so far in this series, but the author succeeded.
The adventure continues back on Larissya's home planet, with more magic, adventure and unexpected twists. Hurry, before the others arrive. The lump under Althea's skin was glowing and restless. It had been there since Larissya could first remember--since her childhood.
The shadows jumped and flickered wildly in the glow of the small fire. The air was warm and smelled of burning wood, animal skins, and death. Her eyes begged Larissya to do it. Larissya gritted her teeth, held her grandmother tightly, and began. The dark-edged, golden-banded blade cut through her skin as if it were parchment; she made no sound. Her eyes were shining with gratitude, worry, and love. Through the blood and sinew, Larissya saw it: It was a pale, ghostly color, the shape of an eldrach egg. Althea grabbed the crystal and ripped it out of her bleeding wound with her right hand.
She grimaced momentarily at the pain, then held the crystal up triumphantly. Mike Cooley grew up in Washington State, reading every science fiction and fantasy book he could get his hands on.
Influenced by many writers, including Phillip K. Dick, James Tiptree Jr. He has been writing for many years in a variety of genres and loves crafting stories, creating monsters, and getting inside the heads of his readers to see what makes them feel. And that her destiny is to gather the magic crystals and lead an epic battle against the Triad. A battle that will determine the fate of Agorai itself. But she doesn't yet believe that she is the one. The Triad has other plans. Plans that involve capturing the crystals and using their powers for themselves. Plans that involve murder, madness and pain.
They have been waiting a long, long time for the Warrior to awaken. From the magic swords Shakari and Antare, to the gigantic reptilian bird known as Taradahn, to the mysterious worm of power called Ishak, to the magnificent tree city of Frizl, Larissya's story is full of wonder--and darkness.

Crystal Legacy (Legend Of The Crystals Book 3) eBook: Mike Cooley: exuxasoheh.tk: Kindle Store
Please try again later. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. Cooley has stuffed this novel with every fantasy trope known to the English language, plus a few of the science fiction ones as well. I don't know, upon reflection, if he was trying to write a serious fantasy novel or a send-up of one, but either way, it doesn't work. I normally make notes of major characters on a pad while I'm reading, because sometimes it's necessary for keeping track of who is who. Absolutely necessary for Crystal Warrior. Cherryh learned not to do this characters in all.
There were more to come as the story progressed.
Then there are the following: Easy to remember, no? I won't even try to list all the bizarre place names.
Lo siento, ¡no pudimos encontrar eso!
I must say, all of the strange words and names did distract me from misspelled and misused words and punctuation errors, as I tried to make sense of the storyline and keep everything straight in my head. I get the feeling that Mr. Cooley loves fantasy and tried to pour all his love and all his ideas all at once into a book. I respect him for that; I love fantasy, too. But I ask him to reflect and reconsider his approach and his barrage of exotic names for things and people. If you are going to read this book, be prepared to take notes, or just blow it off and skim through for the overall story which gets seriously weird by the end.
Okay, I got this one for free, so no money lost for me. And I'm glad, for this was unfortunately a disappointing story. It starts out very good thought, you get right into the action, and meet all the main characters very fast. Larissya is destined to be the Crystal Warrior, and is supposed to save the world. The Triad is the Evil ones, and the race is on to find all the hidden crystals before "the other team". There is several remarks thorough the story about "the propecy", but you never get to read it.. Exept for a few sentences at the very end.
